Another great day in deep south Texas to go to church service at Magnolia....For most of us we are wanting the wind to die down just a little more and things would be fine, but we must remember that this is March (the windy month) so just be glad that it doesn't have a bunch of SNOW in it for us to have to shovel....
Today Pastor Stacey brought the message from the Book of Psalms with the theme of "Be still and know that I am God".....It was pointed out that we all sometimes get so busy in out every day lives that we move too fast and want to get things done, that we don't take time to stop and ask God what he would have us do....We get so rapt up in trying to do every thing ourselves that we may not be doing what God would have us do....I know that we always think we can take care of our business ourselves, but we need to remember that God has a plan for us and things will go a lot smother if we just let him lead us....This is a hard lesson to put in practice all the time in our lives but if we learn to obey Gods leading we can't fail....
Today we also had a man from the Gideons come and give a talk on the work of the Gideons in giving Bibles to children, putting them in hotel rooms, and giving them to people all over the world to spread Gods Word to all....This is a good work and something we can support and pray for.... Also remember to pray for all the sick that you hear of during the week.....Pray also for Pastor Stacey and Tina as they are going to Florida to see Miqueas....I know that they are excited to see him...God Bless All....See you in Church next week.....
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
