Phyllis E. Neudorff went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born on February 8, 1930, in Elcho, Wisconsin to Joe and Lillian Pollock. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Hyatt; four sisters, Vivian Dery, Anne Kelly, Katherine Tappa, and Dorothy Williams; a newborn daughter, Mary; and her husbands, Gabe Masters, Maurice Sjoblom, and Charles Neudorff. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Pete) Sjoblom Hinsa; two sons, Joseph Masters and Chris (Eileen) Sjoblom; two grandchildren, Shale (Brian) Etherington and James Sjoblom; two great grandchildren, Graysen and Berkleigh; and one sister, Audrey Kubiaczyk. Phyllis accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord on February 26, 1976, and spent the remainder of her life living as best she could to please Him. She taught Sunday school and adult Bible classes, and wrote a newspaper column "The Good Word" until a stroke in 2004 made it impossible to continue. She was a testimony speaker for Gideons International and spoke in many states and cities. She was also a published author and had short stories, testimonies, and poetry in national magazines and newspapers. Phyllis loved to volunteer and served in many nursing homes, senior centers, thrift stores, and delighted in driving people who had no car or could no longer drive as well as bringing food to those in need. She didn't do these things through her own strength, but only through the power of God, to whom she owed so much. A memorial service for Phyllis will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Faith Baptist Church in Rhinelander where she was a member. Rev. Mark Ring will officiate. Visitation with the family will take place from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in the Elcho Cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is assisting the family with arrangements. (No picture available) |

Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
