For some reason, the return to northern climes is taking place early for many and the reasons are unknown. My theory is that for the most part, it has been a warm winter everywhere and so the itch to go home takes hold. But the truth of the matter is that it can turn ugly up there quicker and faster than you can snap your fingers. So perhaps it is a matter of memory. Bottom line: the park is emptying.
I like this time of year here. The pace slows, the weather is like summer in Iowa and it is the best of both worlds.
