At last the weather is warming up again in deep south Texas and I think we are all ready for it... Today was a beautiful day to come to church at Magnolia to hear the Word of God being taught and studied...We did have a few members that were not with us today because of colds and other sicknesses so we need to pray for healing for all that were missing and protection for the ones that were in attendance....
For to days teaching Pastor Stacey brought the message from the Book of Luke, Chapter 5, starting with verse 17 with the theme of "Faith and Prayer"...This tells of when Jesus was teaching with many Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by listening...A group of men brought a man that had palsy and tried to get in to see Jesus, but couldn't because of the multitude, so they went up on the roof and tore a hole in it and lowered the man before Jesus... When Jesus saw their faith, he said "Man, thy sins are forgiven thee and the scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying who is this that speaks blasphemies....This is a great lesson that teaches and shows that Jesus is the Son of God and has power to forgive sins...After this Jesus told the man to take up his mat and go home, which he did glorifying God all the way....This shows the power of being faithful...We must always strive to be faithful and remain in constant prayer on the matters of our lives and the lives of our brothers and sisters....Remember that God Loves us all...You must read the lesson for yourselves and study to grasp the power of God's Word...
Remember to pray for all the sick that you hear of and for any you may think of during the week ahead....See you in Church next week....GOD BLESS All......
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
