Another experiment!

We snipped a wayward branch from Betty Lewis's rose garden on our walk this morning.  (thanks, Betty)  Jim drilled a hole in a potato and I stuck the end of the branch inside the potato.  We planted it... this is supposed to grow roots and the potato gives nourishment to the new cutting.  I put a glass jar over it to keep moisture inside.   Now to see what happens!   We planted 2 more,  1 in another white potato and 1 in a sweet potato.   This should be interesting.  If nothing else happens, I might get more potatoes!!  We will be here another month to watch for rose or potato growth.

It sure helps to have a nice fella to dig the hole!
