This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. From the Stilsons
Bill woke up 2 weeks ago with a really sore back. Went to Chiropractor, doctor and some rehab. Nothing worked. It got so bad he could not walk or stand without yelling. The chiropractor said he had 2-4 herniated discs. They gave him percocet. Did not even phase it. So I took him to emergency room this past Monday. They gave him a shot of morphine, did not relieve the pain at all. They admitted him and did several tests and found out the staph infection had resurfaced and settled in the back. That was the reason for the severe pain. He will be on antibiotics for at least 8 weeks and then a pill a day for the rest of his life. He will not be released from the hospital until he can go without the pain killers and he is mobile. I told him that he would be done in time to go to Texas the middle of November. The doctor heard me and peeked around the corner and said more like Thanksgiving. I thought he was going to go through the urinal at her. I will try and keep you updated on what is going on.
