Good News

I heard from Elaine Misfelt today and she told me that LeRoy's valve replacement went very well and he was home from the hospital the next day. He can't drive or lift more than 10 pounds for four weeks. Modern medicine is certainly wonderful and we wish LeRoy a speedy and uneventful recovery.

We were over at Home Depot here in Weslaco this morning and we ran into Ray and Lil Droogsma as well as Dick and Leslie Cleaveland. They haven't been down here very long, in fact Ray and Lil flew and they said their car was arriving shortly. Apparently someone is driving it down. Both Ray and Lil have had covid even though they are fully vaccinated and they were quite sick. I wonder what the outcome would have been if they had not been vaccinated. It is certainly something to think about.

It has been terribly hot and humid down here for a while now but a cold front will arrive tomorrow which will make things much more comfortable, at least for a while. Back home "up north" there is a huge snow storm but I looked ahead and it said Wednesday it will be 61 degrees. That seems a bit hard to believe especially if there is a lot of snow on the ground which makes it harder to warm up. Time will tell.

Hope all is well with everyone and if you have news to share, please let me know
