In a moderated form. We pansies from the north are getting a winter blast along with the rest of the country. It doesn't happen often but well...here it is. The furnace is running as I write and I have all the blinds pulled in a feeble attempt to make the RV warmer. Local weather says we are in for it the next 3 days. Should get back to near normal come Saturday. In the meantime we hunker down and make casseroles and cocoa. Just glanced at the temp and it is 32 F. with winds of 20-25mph giving us some nasty windchills for sunny South Texas. I know your sympathy meter is hovering near zero if you live above the Mason/Dixon line. The difference is you expect it, we don't.
Another aspect of it here is that this can be a killer storm because some less fortunates have no way of dealing with it. My thoughts and prayers are with them today. There are houses hereabout made of concrete and without windows. A blanket hung over an opening in the wall is not going to hold out much cold.
This too shall pass...and we hope it passes quickly.
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
