Another beautiful day in deep south Texas to attend church at Magnolia....We still have a good attendance but as the weather up NORTH gets better and people get to feeling like they need to go our group will get smaller this next week....Many of the folks today said goodbye for this season and will travel to their summer home....Oh well it always happens this time of year and we expect it....Safe travel to all...
Pastor Stacey brought a message today with the theme of "Who is this Women"....He taught of just how many of the most important people in the service of God are women...He emphasized on Mary Magdalene who was so faithful and was the first one to visit the tomb after Jesus was buried and found that he was not there....She was wanting to know where they had taken his body and she would go and get him if she only knew where he was.....Jesus appeared to her and told her to go and tell the disciples he had risen and was alive....There are many places in the Bible that tell of how God has used women to lead and tell of just what God has or will do....We must never forget to listen to the voices of people that tell of Gods will for us no matter who they are.....We only need to study Gods Word in the Bible to be able to tell if the people that talk to us are following Gods Word...
Remember to pray for any that you hear of that are sick and also for those that are on the road traveling.....God Bless All.....See you in Church next week.....
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located.
