The rain went away and we enjoyed a beautiful day. We are all gearing up for the cold weather headed our way on Friday. Laundry was getting done- Cars and motorhomes being washed. It would not surprise me if people went to the grocery store to stock up on bread and milk like they do "up north" when snow is forecast. Here is our forecast.
Friday
Cooler. Areas of fog. Widespread drizzle and rain likely. Highs in the mid 40s. North winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. Wind chill readings 28 to 38.
Friday Night
Partly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Slight chance of rain in the evening. Lows in the mid 30s. North winds 15 to 20 mph becoming light. Chance of rain 20 percent. Wind chill readings 21 to 31.
sunny
Saturday
Sunny. Not as cool. Highs in the lower 60s.
After you are acclimated to the warm weather the above forecast sounds and feels really ugly. Hey, I know all of you who live north of the Mason/Dixon line are ROTFL (rolling on the floor laughing). But it is true. On the other hand those of you who come down here in December and January spend the first week perspiring heavily...until you become acclimated.
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
