This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. Jewelry is a big deal when on a cruise. There are classes on gemstones and jewelry stores everywhere. I learned about Alexandrite. In the store the jeweler showed me an Alexandrite under store lighting and it looked very much like this picture. It was set in a ring and cost $8000 but the color was very much the same.
