Fred was born March 15, 1925, in Independence, Missouri to the late Fred John Henry and Minnie Ladora (Tarver) Rabe. He attended school in Lee Summit, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 until 1946. He married Wilma Chapele in Monahans and he moved to Clyde in 2019. He worked as a truckdriver for Yellow Freight Lines for 23 years and had previously worked as an EMT in Rising Star.
He is survived by his son, John Rabe and wife Renae of Grove, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mary Marcus and husband David of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kay Bailey and husband Ken of Clyde and Diane of Kansas City, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; his son, Tom; his daughter, Jean; brother, Alfred and sister, Marcella.
