I sure hope this is not your first visit to the Rio Grande Valley. Highs in the 40's-yuck...rainy and cold. This is not what we come here for. Fortunately it will not last long. It never does. We will soon be back in the 70's, 80's and even 90's with plenty of sunshine. We get spoiled and those of us who have been coming here for many years know that with a little patience the pleasant weather we all take for granted will soon return.
Butch and I made a fast trip to Iowa to see a nephew of Butch's who was battling sarcoma, the worst kind of cancer a person can have. We made it before he passed and we enjoyed a pleasant visit with him. We were on our way back when we received word that he had passed.
The weather up there was frightful and we hoped to come back to delightful. Not today, maybe tomorrow.
I have noticed several new faces around the park and we are glad they are here. People took a long time to get here this year. On our trip we saw a steady stream of RV's heading south! I told Butch that if they were all headed to the Rio Grande Valley we would have a full park when we returned. We are not full but it is fuller.
Enjoy!
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
