I'm sorry that I'm late in posting but just got caught up in the nice weather that we were having in the afternoon and just forgot my duty...The morning got started somewhat different as we have now changed to daylight saving time and the weather was still somewhat cooler than we would like, but sure changed for the better later in the day...I guess that is all the excuse that I can give... Sorry...
The lesson today that Pastor Stacey brought to us came from the Book of Jonah with the theme of "Running from God"...He brought out just how Jonah was commanded by God to do certain things and how Jonah thought he would just run away and not do what God told him and he would get out of his duty.....We have all heard the story of Jonah being swallowed by the whale, but it was brought out that when ever we know what God wants us to do in our lives and we don't follow up and do it some times we may feel like we have been swallowed up by the things around us....The thing we need to remember is God has a plan for us and our country, we need to turn to God for guidance, read his word, and follow his commandments for us and our country to be fruitful and to prosper in our lives....A great lesson to study and think and put in to practice......Remember to pray for all those that are sick and those that are on the road.....God Bless All.......See you in church next week......
This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located.
