We went to the Santa Ana Nat'l Wildlife Refuge south of Alamo Texas yesterday. I chose to go late in the day thinking that birds and wildlife might be more active then. Some right, some wrong...we spotted an Ocelot and that was a first. The Ocelot walked across the trail in front of us and it naturally happened so quickly and unexpectedly that a photo was out of the question. We were thrilled though! BUT we did not see the Green Jays and that was a disappointment. We saw far more Green Jays at the Altascosa park down by Padre. I am assuming it was not the right time of day.

This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.
