EDINBURGH
Jerry W. Burton, 72 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 9, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born December 24, 1949 in Columbia, Kentucky. He was the son of Elza and Lorene (Bryant) Burton. He married Diana (Terry) Burton on May17, 1969 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Missy (Ronnie) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Anna (Nathan) Eaton of Columbus, Indiana, grandchildren, Jake (Alyssa) Burton, Corey (Haley) Burton, Kaden (Claire) Eaton, Alexa Eaton, Macy Eaton, 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Clifford (Alina) Burton, sisters, Eva (Bill) Cook, and Geraldine (Carl) Giles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Earl Burton, Arnold Burton, Dewey Burton, Luther Burton, and Erney Burton, and sisters, Linda Orff and Judy Burton.
Jerry retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1998 after 31 years. After retirement Jerry and Diana enjoyed spending winters in Texas. Jerry was a gifted mechanic and craftsman. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, woodworking, and spending time with family.
A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
