Death Notice
It is with a great sense of loss but with relief that she is no longer suffering, the family of Pauline Mary (Shaw) Wellington, announce that she passed away at the age of 86, on Saturday, August 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Harry Wellington (2004). Treasured by her children Paul Wellington, Peggy and Merv Sharpe, Mary Pearson and Nancy Inchley. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Sharpe, Rebecca, Adam and Brian Pearson, and Stephen and Laura Inchley. She will also be missed by her sisters and best friends, Betty and Bob Humphrey and Linda and Murray McDonald, and the late Ruby Hanson (2012). Pauline is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and by her sister-in-law Ruth Wellington (Joe 2013). Pauline was a life-long member of Community of Christ Church and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was the hub in our wheel of life, offering a sympathetic ear when needed, sage advice when asked, and unconditional love always. Her love of an adventure and her sense of humour will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Moore Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Participation House Support Services, London, Ontario (Jenny’s support agency) or World Accord International Development Agency, Waterloo, Ontario. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Service
A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Moore Union Cemetery, Mooretown.
