This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. So continue to let us know where you are and what is on your plate.

Frog in the pail!!
We had rain and wind last night, and I found this frog in a 5 gallon pail that had about 6 inches of water in the bottom.....he must have taken a quick jump, and in he went! I don't know who was more surprised; the frog or me. Jim removed him from my rain water pail; I have plans for that water, it is going to be strained and made into laundry soap (NO frogs).

Gathering in Minnesota
Leroy sent me these pictures to post of the gathering in Minnesota. They sure look like they are having a good time. They didn't have a picture of Don and Kathy Ferrell but they too were in attendance.

Spring flood
Earlier this week, Jim and I took the afternoon off and drove over to Yankton, SD. We stopped at the spillway for the Gavins Point Dam. I know many pictures have been on the local TV news---but it is really something to see ! Such power the water has!! We are very thankful that we live on higher ground.
