I have found a great recipe for dishwasher soap! I love it, our water is so hard here, even with a softener. It works great, no film on glasses..... 2 cups of Washing Soda 2 cups of Borax 1 cup of salt 4 packs of unsweetened lemonade Koolaide I'm guessing the Koolaide provides the citric acid needed to keep the film off the glassware. Salt softens or scrubs the dishes? Anyway I am very happy with this, beats Cascade hands down. I used to just use the soda and borax, but it left a film on things.
