Frog in the pail!!

We had rain and wind last night, and I found this frog in a 5 gallon pail that had about 6 inches of water in the bottom.....he must have taken a quick jump, and in he went! I don't know who was more surprised; the frog or me. Jim removed him from my rain water pail; I have plans for that water, it is going to be strained and made into laundry soap (NO frogs).

A Little News Update

I haven't put any thing on the blog for a while as there hasn't been any church services for a while and won't be until the first of September, but I will put in this news I thought the Magnolia Family might be interested in.........Don and Barbara Howard were down a week or so ago and bought a mobile in Magnolia Park....I was surprised aren't you???....They bought the mobile that use to belong to the Appleton's on Magnolia St. ....I was sure surprised when Don called me and told me about it...I am glad that they will be in the park at least  some of the time in the winter....He said that they will see us in the fall sometime....They are doing well and Barbara is feeling good and ready to do some painting..Pictures that is...Thought you might like to know.....

Spring flood

Earlier this week, Jim and I took the afternoon off and drove over to Yankton, SD. We stopped at the spillway for the Gavins Point Dam. I know many pictures have been on the local TV news---but it is really something to see ! Such power the water has!! We are very thankful that we live on higher ground.

This splash of water got me----it was cold!!!

Seeing Double

Click on it to see it larger. Last season Norma C. was seeing two moons before she had cataract surgery. This cartoon reminded me of that. Opal and Earl are just like us and that is what I like about them.
