We went to Luverne, Mn. to see the wood carvings by Fred Cogelow. Beautiful work done with Basswood and Butternut woods. We missed the life sized carving of a lady; they moved that one to Hills, Mn. before we got there!

Baltimore Oriole!

We were so pleased to see several of these beautiful birds flying around yesterday. I put out a cut up Texas grapefruit and they went wild! It is so great to have a bird so bright in color stop by. With no leaves on the trees yet, they are easy to keep track of.

We had overnight guests on Thursday! We wished they could have stayed longer, as we really had an enjoyable time with Dave and Dianne Hughes.

Sunday at Magnolia

Well I have been dreading writing the blog this week as it is the last church service in Magnolia Park for the season...The plans are to start up again the first of September , but that's quite a ways off....I know that the time will fly by with the summer breezes, but that doesn't help NOW...Oh well...
The lesson this morning was taken from the Second Book of Thessalonians, Chapter 2 with the theme of "Stand Fast and Be Not Deceived".....This is a great lesson that Pastor Stacey brought to us today for us to study .....Today and in the days to come we must study the Word of God and watch for those that would deceive us in the teaching of the Word....We must always use the Word of God as our guide in all matters....Also as it was the first of the month, communion was given and unless we go to Church else where during the summer that will be the last until this fall so it was important for many....After the service there was a light breakfast served for all that wished to partake....A great way to end the season for the people of the Magnolia Family that are left in the park...There are still a few that will leave to go up NORTH so continue to pray for those and all the family....Remember to pray for those that are sick and try to help one another when you can.....GOD BLESS ALL.........
