Lot's of News Today

I have lots of news today and an a assignment later for the Magnolia Family...This morning we had Bible Study with Pastor Stacey at Don and Marji's house again...The study was on Isaiah Chapter 45 with the theme of "God opens doors and calls by name"...A good study to really think about....

This afternoon we got a call from Eula Henderson...She had been in touch last night with Edna Nelson....Edna told her that Charley was in the hospital and not good at all...He is on life support...He had just quit eating at home and getting worse all the time...She said that they told her that without life support he would be gone in no time...She said the the kids and her were going to have to make some big decisions this coming week...It doesn't sound good for the family at all...We need to keep them in our prayers doubly much this week...

On a lighter note I talked to Dorothy Wendt yesterday, and she said that she was going to E-mail me some items...I checked the mail this morning and she sent pictures and explanations for all..So here goes..

Vernon Wendt had his foot surgery so he won't be driving around next year, but back to walking...He had a week to set around with his foot in the air and no weight on it..Fun having a walker in the motor home, but he is hobbling around now in his fancy footwear..He is about to have all the wires and stitches removed so hope all will be well...Also

Harold Shelden is doing great, even though he doesn't think so...He thinks he should be 100% even though it has only been a little over 2 months...He isn't using his walker much although we insist when outside...We are celebrating his 95th birthday on August 1 with an open house and card shower....Cards may be sent to

Harold Shelden
600 20th Street S. W.
Brookings, S.D. 57006

Anyone in the area, we would love to have you come to the open house on August 1 at
2121 Monarch Lane in Meadow Green community center right off 22nd Ave. in Brookings..Right now Esther is in the hospital with Pancreatitis, but hope it is short lived thing.....Dorothy

This proves we need to keep all our Magnolia Family in our prayers at all times, after all we're all in this together and need to hold each other up...
