This blogs sole purpose has transitioned to one of keeping in touch with each other. Over the years it has been primarily for letting everyone know what is happening and also for promotion to add more folks to our Winter Texan family. The core of things has changed and we must change along with it. We still want to know what is happening with our friends no matter where they may be located. Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle - National Shrine
The Shrine is under construction and will remain so for quite some time. They are renovating the altar. In the past many tourists have visited the Shrine but I suspect the tourist traffic will be at a lower level until construction is complete. We went for our first visit this past Saturday and learned of the construction so we plan to return when they are prepared to put on their new face .
